Carolyn Braver is a scrappy theatre kid who grew up on stage doing non-stop community theatre since age eight. She is now an adult, and a multi-hyphenate creative for stage and screen.
Carrie dropped out of college at 19 and moved to Chicago on her own with dreams of acting at Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Within 2 years she was starring in shows there. She originated the role of Zoe in the Broadway transfer of the Steppenwolf production of the Tony-Nominated play Airline Highway. She was named Hot New Face of Chicago Theatre by Chris Jones when she splashed onto the scene as a slutty British highschooler who deep throats a blue dildo onstage in The Knowledge. She went on to star opposite Denzel Washington in the Broadway revival of The Iceman Cometh and play Ray Donovan’s origin story in the Ray Donovan Movie, to name a few.
Her obsession with story, character, pacing, tone and collaboration naturally led her to writing, directing and producing. She lives in LA and frequents her previous homes of Chicago, NYC and Phoenix.
Carolyn produces her own and her genius-type friends’ projects under her banner KID SISTER PRODUCTIONS.
She is a member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA.
